The 'Irresistible' Jessica Simpson

The release party for Jessica Simpson's latest album "Irresistible," was, literally, a splash. The bash began with a water parade of zooming jet-skis and flipping water-skiers last night at The Water Club.

Arriving with a boatload of fan club members, Simpson's hyper-bright smile was visible from the docks. She blew kisses and exclaimed, "Wow, this is crazy!" Thanking Columbia Records and Teen People, the event's hosts, she promised, "It's going to be an amazing night."

Dressed in diamonds, Cavalli heels and a snug, shiny brown Dolce & Gabbana dress which set off her bronzed skin and dirty blond hair, Simpson talked to FWD about her new album.

"I recorded my first record when I was 17," said the pop siren. "I'll be 21 in July, so there's a lot of growth, there's a lot of confidence, a lot of attitude."

"I have a 60-piece orchestra and a duet with Marc Anthony!" she continued.

Simpson also revealed her beauty secrets. "I love the Aveda pomade to keep my little wispies down. I use Terax conditioner, it's my favorite. Right now I can't go anywhere without lip gloss and of course I love the sticky kind from M.A.C. And just your normal L'OrÚal mascara."

Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees, who has been Simpson's boyfriend for two years, was noticeably absent last night. According to an industry insider, at Z100's Zootopia last week, Simpson confirmed they are indeed broken up. The cause was attributed to their demanding work schedules - they supposedly have not seen each other in three months. Simpson reportedly said she still loves him.
