The Pepsi ads starring Britney Spears have been removed from US screens.

According to the company the ad is "too happy" for a country that is currently in mourning. In the spot, the singer is wearing provocative clothing and appears singing and dancing. Pepsi plans to air the ads again once it is more appropriate.
