Rossdale and Stefani: Off In Different Directions
It's separation time -- again -- for rock music sweethearts Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani.
"It's a great day professionally, but a sad day personally," Gavin says, referring to positive response to his band Bush's new "Golden State" album -- and to the fact that he and Stefani have just flown off in different directions and will be in separate locales through much of the fall.
Stefani, well-known for her workaholic ways, rejoined her No Doubt groupmates in New York, while Rossdale headed to Las Vegas to do opening and closing duty on tonight's (10/26) ABC "2001 Radio Music Awards" with Christina Aguilera. He'll then head off with Bush to topline (along with Snoop Dogg, Tricky and Tool) New Orleans' Voodoo Music Festival this weekend, and "soon we'll be going to England, then Germany."
However, "It's my girlfriend's idea for us to go away together at Christmas time. I'm so gob-smacked on that subject, I haven't had a chance to think of where I'd like to go," Rossdale says. "We don't holiday often. We had a holiday two years ago, and another five years ago -- and that's all."
