Jackson to Perform at AMAs
According to Zap2it.com, Michael Jackson will be singing at the American Music Awards tonight. The entertainer previously stated he wouldn't sing at the AMAs, even though he is accepting the AMA "Artist of the Century" award.
The indecision is a result of the growing rift between the AMAs and the Grammys, as the Recording Academy has stated that any entertainer performing at the AMAs would have to find their own ticket to the Grammys as they won't be invited.
Jackson's AMA performance, however, isn't what you might expect. The singer has agreed to a taped performance of him singing "Man in the Mirror."
The AMA performance means that Jackson will be seen on two networks Wednesday night. CBS will re-air his 30th anniversary concert special, featuring new footage with Britney Spears.
