Ashanti To Perform At MTV Video Music Awards

MTV announced today that Ashanti and Nas will perform at the nineteenth annual 'MTV Video Music Awards.' They join a lineup of previously announced performers including Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Pink, Eminem, Shakira, and P.Diddy.

It was also announced that the final two American Idol contenders, Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, Johnny Knoxville, Avril Lavigne, and the American Idol judges, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson will be among those who will present at this year's Video Music Awards. Previously announced presenters include Britney Spears, Nelly, B2K, and Bow Wow.

Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, 'The 2002 MTV Video Music Awards' will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Thursday, August 29th at 8:00PM (Live ET/Tape delay PT).
