Boyband Advice For Justin & Nick
Justin Timberlake's split with Britney Spears will help him win the battle of the boyband stars gone solo, according to former New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre.
The singer-turned-actor thinks Timberlake's Backstreet Boys rival Nick Carter has been out of the public eye for too long - and he feels that will cost him in the chart battle with the 'N Sync star.
McIntyre says, "Justin's hitting the ground running, and Nick's been away for a while. It's only been a year, but it's going to be harder for him. The segue wasn't as quick."
"Justin's done some stuff to make his segue a little bit easier. He has aligned a lot of people in his corner. He's really not missing a beat. Business wise, it's a smart move."
Another boyband veteran, former New Edition star Johnny Gill, wishes both pop stars well - and advises them to hit the gym.
He explains, "Get in the gym, eat right, get your sleep and go full speed."
"When you're on the stage with your group, there are four or five different people to look at, but when you have to carry the whole show, all the pressure's on you."
