All-Star Photo Shoot Runs Late
Gwen Stefani kept Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys and Sheryl Crow waiting in New York's trendy meat-packing district for a Vanity Fair magazine fashion shoot when the Concorde flight she was on was forced to return to London's Heathrow Airport.
The newly-married No Doubt singer is one of the four singers to grace the front of the magazine's third annual All Star Music issue, but she almost didn't make it.
The July shoot was delayed for seven hours as Stefani caught another plane for the trip to New York.
Vanity Fair writer Lisa Robinson says, "The plane started to nose dive an hour after take off and Gwen thought she was going to die, but all credit to her she got on another plane and came straight out."
"She did her make-up herself somewhere over the Atlantic and drove to the shoot straight from the airport."
The new issue will be on newstands next week, October 15th, and includes the four stars standing alongside Norah Jones, Eve, Nelly Furtado, Shirley Manson, Debbie Harry and lone male singer Barry White on the fold-out front cover.
