Rowland Loves Acting Challenge

Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland is having a fantastic time making her Hollywood debut because she loves to be challenged.

The singer is following in the footsteps of bandmate Beyonce Knowles, who starred as Foxxy Cleopatra in "Austin Powers in Goldmember," and is currently filming horror flick "Freddy Vs. Jason" in Vancouver, Canada.

Kelly enthuses, "It's been quite a whirlwind. I knew it was a lot of work from watching my sister Beyonce do it. I love acting. I love anything that's a challenge."

The Texan released her debut solo album "Simply Deep" last week.

She continues, "It's just like the album, which was challenging because I did it by myself. I was doing some different things, musically and vocally. It's all been a challenge but it's something I enjoy."
