Sugababes Change Donaghy Story

Pop trio the Sugababes claim they haven't spoken to Siobhan Donaghy since she left the band last year (2001) - despite contradictory claims at the time.

The singers, who have achieved renewed success since drafting in replacement Heidi Range, say Donaghy left the band "hanging" after disappearing following a toilet break - despite persistent industry rumors she was forced because of bullying from Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena.

The girls add that they have not talked to Donaghy, who is due to launch a solo career later this year, since she walked out on them.

Keisha says, "We haven't spoken to her. She basically said, 'I'm going to the toilet, I'll be back in two minutes,' and she never came back. Maybe we'll talk one day, but at the moment for her it's very upsetting."

However, after Donaghy's departure in September 2001, the girls said, "We'd like to say we didn't kick her out. We have spoken to her since, but we haven't seen her."
