Osbournes To Host American Music Awards

The Osbournes are to become the first family to ever host the American Music Awards.

The Osbourne clan - father OZZY, mother Sharon and kids Jack and Kelly - will host the three-hour event in January from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Sharon, currently battling cancer, says, "We are going to give the American Music Awards 2003 a different slant as only the Osbournes can."

Meanwhile, the family's matriarch has clarified her statement regarding the future of the family's hit MTV reality TV show.

After telling US TV host Barbara Walters that "This is definitely the last year" of the show, Sharon now says, "I have every intention of fulfilling our commitment to MTV for a full 20 episodes. I love my MTV."

The "20 episodes" she refers to in her statement would mean 10 for this season and 10 for the next season, as the show resigned with MTV for two years after its first season.
