Rappers Speak Out In Jackson's Defence
Rappers Nelly, Ice Cube and LL Cool J have spoken out on defense of troubled pop star Michael Jackson as he battles controversy.
The hip-hop stars have all expressed their sympathy for the 44-year-old Bad singer, who sparked an outrage when he admitted to sharing his bedroom with other people's young children while being interviewed by Martin Bashir for the controversial documentary Living With Michael Jackson.
The TV special showed his unconventional parenting and fixation with antiques, statues and children.
But Dilemma star Nelly says, "I want everyone who is condemning him to try being a child superstar at nine and see how they turn out."
Former NWA rapper Cube says, "I don't understand how people who loved him for so long turned on him so quick."
Cool J adds, "This was about that journalist making his career. Well, Mike will still be here when that journalist isn't."
