The Latest on Lollapalooza Summer Festival
The Donnas will join the phenomenal lineup slated for the 2003 Lollapalooza, the multi-stage phenomenon that changed the face of live music. Returning this summer in a dynamic, new entertainment environment, The Donnas join Janes Addiction, Audioslave, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age and Jurassic 5 on the main stage.
Perry Farrell, creator of Lollapalooza, joked I bought a pair of silk pajamas for the road because we're gonna have a Lollapajama party with the Donnas!!!
"We all went to Lollapalooza when L7 was on the main stage in 1994, said Torry Castellano A.K.A. Donna C., We are really excited to be a part of this festival because of its history as well as all the really amazing rock bands who are playing this year, and we really love Jurassic 5 too!"
Inspired by a wide variety of rock and pop influences The Donnas first teamed up nearly 10 years ago while attending middle school in Palo Alto, California. The rebellious and irreverent bands eagerly awaited Atlantic Records debut, Spend the Night, was the follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed The Donnas Turn 21. The band's artistic growth and international popularity has grown throughout their career and during countless tours of North America and beyond, kicking out the jams and winning over fans every time.
Lollapalooza, the multi-stage event conceived more than a decade ago, will again transform live entertainment by fusing music, technology and lifestyle into a unique and powerful entertainment experience. Lollapalooza invented the touring music lifestyle festival, presenting cutting edge bands in the 90s and introducing the world to cultural trends that defined a generation.
