Ruben Studdard To Perform At Free Concerts

American Idol winner Ruben Studdard will perform two free concerts in his native state of Alabama.

The "Velvet Teddy Bear" is performing in aid of a tax referendum backed by Governor Bob Riley, and tickets for both dates were distributed in minutes.

He will appear at the Belive in Alabama concerts in Mobile on September 2nd and Birmingham on Sept. 5th.

Studdard's band, Just a Few Cats and comedian Ced Delaney are also scheduled to perform.
