Kelly Osbourne Turns To Elton
Kelly Osbourne had some surprising help when she considered covering one of her famous dad Ozzy's classic tunes - from family pal Sir Elton John.
Kelly and Ozzy were at loggerheads about whether to use a choir on their version of the song Changes, which originally appeared on Black Sabbath's 1972 album Black Sabbach Volume 4.
Kelly says, "It was weird because we both fought so much. He wanted the choir on there and I didn't.
"When we were out at Elton John's house this summer, and his was the final decision on whether to put the choir on there."
The track will appear on Kelly's debut album Shut Up!, which is being reissued under the title Changes, and the young punk admits she was dubious about attempting on of her dad's metal tracks, until mum Sharon came up with an idea to rework it.
Kelly adds, "We always thought it would be a cliché. Then I sat with the song for a day and rewrote the lyrics. And we recorded the song in three hours."
