Timberlake's Mcdonald's Ads Proving Unpopular

The new Justin Timberlake-fronted campaign for fast food giant McDonald's is proving a flop, with audiences shunning the revamped commercials.

To boost slumping sales, McDonald's recently launched the new TV commercials, which feature the 'N Sync frontman's vocals and light-hearted visuals, shot to resemble old-fashioned home videos, showing people doing everyday things.

But doing away with longtime mascot Ronald McDonald has proved unpopular with consumers.

Larry Light, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer of McDonald's, says, "For many consumers, change is uncomfortable. The only thing that will change that is time. We are not going to change the ads. Our challenge is to stay the course."
