Spears Husband Considers Future With Britney?

Britney Spears' soon to be ex-husband has hinted he's still interested in a relationship with the pop star following their crazy wedding this weekend.

Jason Alexander, 22, speaking for the first time since his 5 a.m. 'joke' wedding to Spears in Las Vegas on Saturday, accepted the pair's actions were irresponsible - but indicated he holds out hope for a more considered relationship with the star in the future.

He tells TV's Access Hollywood, "I feel bad that I should have been more responsible than just jump up and go do what we did and cause a big controversy."

"We are going to remain friends. As far as anything else goes I don't know what's going to happen."

The college student - who is waiting for the annulment of the marriage to be processed by the courts - also spoke of how the pair came to the "wild and crazy" decision to spontaneously marry during a boozy night out.

He said, "We had a really good time and it was Saturday night, well Saturday morning actually. We were looking out the window. We were looking at the lights in the city thinking this is a really pretty, beautiful night.

"It was cool and we were looking at each other. We thought, 'Let's go do something wild and crazy. Let's go get married just for the hell of it. Let's go!' We just got up and said, 'Let's go do it!'

"So why not? So we went to the chapel and we set everything up and we got married and we did everything, the pictures and everything."

However, the newly weds quickly realised they'd made a massive mistake.

Alexander explains, "We realised what we did was not the right thing to do. We shouldn't have done it. It wasn't the right way to go about it and we wanted to fix the mistake.

"That's where the annulment came in. We sat down and talked and said, 'That wasn't a very cool thing we did.'"

The annulment, which was filed at Las Vegas' Clark County Family courthouse later on Saturday, claims Britney, 22, did not understand what she was doing when she made her wedding vows.

It states Spears, "Lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage."

The five-page document also claims the annulment should be granted as the pair realised they were "incompatible" after discussing each other's "desires" in life - despite growing up together in Kentwood, Louisiana.

It continues, "Before entering into the marriage they did not know each other's likes and dislikes, each other's desires to have or not to have children and each other's desires as to state of residency.

"Upon learning of each other's desires, they are so incompatible that there is a want of understanding of each other's actions in entering into this marriage."
