Trax : Tupac's Posthumous Potent Brew

TUPAC - Resurrection This soundtrack album, supervised by Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur, rises above the countless patchy efforts that have been trotted out with mercenary zeal since the influential rapper's violent death.

And it does so by leaving the man's original music largely unadulterated (of course, the "clean" version blanks out the expletives).

Tupac's various phases are well represented by tracks like Starin' Through My Rear View, Holler If Ya' Hear Me, Bury Me A G and Same Song.

But even the reworked material offered as new tracks - Ghost and One Day At A Time remixed by Eminem and the duets Runnin' (with Notorious B.I.G.) and The Realist Killaz (with 50 Cent) - has much rhythmic power and lyric potency unlike other posthumous compilations.
