American Idol victor Ruben Studdard has found love with a radio disc jockey.

The 26-year-old Alabama native, who won the TV competition last year, has reportedly struck up a romance with Memphis, Tennessee-based Simone Party - and last month, he flew to her home city to attend her 22nd birthday party at an exclusive nightclub.

A pal says, "Ruben and Simone have known each other for at least a year through mutual contacts in the entertainment world, but several months ago the relationship heated up and became romantic.

"They get together whenever they can and have a wonderful time.

"Simone told me, 'We really care about each other. Neither of us knows where this is going or how long it will last. But we've decided to just enjoy and see what happens.'"
