Lindsay Lohan Begins a Platinum Year

Slightly more than a month in the stores, Lindsay Lohan's recording debut, Speak has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.Lindsay co-wrote 5 of the 11 songs on the record including the title track and the two singles.

Closing out a year that has included a box office hit and being declared 2004's "Hot Girl" by Rolling Stone Magazine, Lohan can now add Platinum selling recording artist to her resume.

Lohan has starred in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen and most recently in Mean Girls. She recorded much of SPEAK while filming the upcoming remake of Herbie, the Love Bug, titled HERBIE: Fully Loaded and began shooting Just My Luck.
