Radiohead's Ok Computer Best Album Of Last 20 Years
Radiohead have topped a new list naming the best album of the last 20 years with their 1997 disc OK Computer.
The Thom YORKE-fronted band beat out competition from Nirvana's Nevermind and Public Enemy album IT Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back to take the top spot in the 20th birthday issue of US magazine Spin.
The publication's editor Sia Michel said sales had nothing to do with the selections and that records were chosen through a combination of "basic brilliance, innovation and overall relevance".
OK Computer topped a poll conducted by British television network Channel 4 earlier this year to find the greatest album of all time, voted for by UK music fans.
The top ten albums from 1985-2005 are:
1. Radiohead - OK Computer (1997) 2. Public Enemy - IT Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back (1988) 3. Nirvana - Nevermind (1991) 4. Pavement - Slanted And Enchanted (1992) 5. The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead (1986) 6. Pixies - Surfer Rosa (1989) 7. DE La Soul - 3 Feet High And Rising (1989) 8. Prince - Sign O' The Times (1987) 9. PJ Harvey - Rid Of ME (1993) 10. NWA - Straight Outta Compton (1988).
