Jay-Z Tops Hip-hop Earners List

Music mogul Jay-Z has topped a list naming the highest earning hip-hop star.
The Def Jam boss earned $34 million in 2006, beating out competition from rapper 50 Cent to claim the title of Hip-Hop Cash King in American magazine Forbes.
50 Cent made $32 million, while Sean 'Diddy' Combs is in third place with earnings of $28 million.
Rounding out the top five are producer Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who raked in $21 million and $20 million respectively.
