Lavigne Honoured for Charity

Avril Lavigne has been lauded for her charity work in China after helping to raise funds for poverty stricken families.

The Sk8er Boi star's Best Damn Tour, which wrapped in Beijing, China on Monday, has been raising money to aid the poor and help children with disabilities.

And she has been praised by members of the China Association of Social Workers, who presented the star with the Certificate of Honor in recognition of her efforts.

During her tour of the country, Lavigne has also been taking time out to visit kids in the Sichuan province, which was ravaged by earthquakes earlier this year, to present them with gifts.
