Taylor Swift Opens Up About Breakup With Joe Jonas

Country star Taylor Swift is glad she was vocal following her split from Joe Jonas - because she wanted her fans to know the truth about their break-up.

The singer admitted she had split from The Jonas Brothers star after months of press speculation surrounding their relationship - and revealed the pair ended their romance with a brief telephone call that lasted only 27 seconds.

And the star confesses she decided against keeping quiet about the fling, because the constant denials would send her fans "crazy".

She tells MTV, "With this situation, I feel like I owed it to my fans to be like, 'Look, it happened, you weren't crazy,' and address it.

"And I addressed it, and, you know, that's a chapter in my life that's closed now."
