Diddy Leaves Music Label After Five Years

Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has confirmed his long-rumoured exit from Warner Music Group - their five-year deal will expire by the end of the month.
The rapper's 2006 record Press Play was the only album he released during his exclusive deal with Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records - set to end in a matter of days.
His Bad Boy music label will remain in place at the company - but Combs admits he is looking forward to putting out new material as a solo artist through an as-yet-undisclosed venture.
He says, "Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company."
A WMG spokesman and a Warner Bros. Records spokeswoman had no comment.
