100 Words with Mindless Behavior

Whatever happened to all the boy groups?! There was a time when groups like N’Sync , the Backstreet Boys and B2K were on top of the music game, and before them groups like the Jackson 5 and New Edition became icons. Now it’s quite hard to point out any boy group except for the Jonas Brothers.

That may soon change with the new pop group, Mindless Behavior. The quartet is comprised of Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton. They are all 13 years old and have the energy of 4 Justin Bieber clones. In fact they have even opened up for Justin and the Backstreet Boys. Now they are focused on making a name for themselves with their single, “My Girl.”

TeenMusic spoke to the promising group and learned that being mindless is all about being an individual. It’s a tough lesson all four of them have learned through their experiences in school.

Each one of the band members endured teasing starting with Ray Ray, “I took ballet in school and all the boys picked on me.” Princeton has Gym Class Heroes to thank for getting him teased after he wore a cupid costume in their video “Cupid’s Chokehold.” “They made me show half my body and everyone picked on me at school.” For Roc Royal all he had to do was get good grades, “people called me a nerd.” In dealing with teasing the best advice Prodigy can give is to, "Still be yourself and talk to anyone about it. Don’t hold it in.”
