Lady Gaga Defends Fan at New York Party
Lady GaGa reportedly came to the defence of one of her fans at a bash in New York on Monday after her over-zealous bodyguard attempted to stop the starstruck partygoer taking pictures.
The pop superstar received a prize at the Annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards and she threw an afterparty at Manhattan's Standard Hotel to celebrate her success, with guests included Gerard Butler, Liv Tyler and Gaga's parents.
The Bad Romance hitmaker was reportedly left fuming at one point in the evening when an attendee snapped her picture as she was walking down a flight of stairs and one of her bodyguards immediately chastised the man.
An onlooker tells New York Post column Page Six, "One of her over-protective security guards... pushed the guy up the stairs, grabbed his phone and threw it... (Gaga said to him), 'What are you doing? Leave him alone.' (She) looked embarrassed and shook her head."
