Katy Perry and Rihanna Rock in Rio
Pop star pals Katy Perry and Rihanna teamed up to open the legendary Rock in Rio music festival in Brazil on Friday.
Perry was the first headliner to take the stage at the City of Rock venue in Rio de Janeiro, thrilling the crowd of 100,000 fans with a series of flamboyant stage costumes, including a peacock-feather carnival outfit and a sequined Brazilian flag dress.
She later joined the crowd to watch Rihanna's sexy set, which included her hits What's My Name? and Only Girl (In the World).
And the Bajan singer clearly enjoyed her time at the festival, 'Tweeting', "Rock N Rio was such a top of (the) line experience! One I'll never forget! I could feel y'all the whole time,we were right there together. One love."
Sir Elton John also performed at the festival, which runs until 2 October, while Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, Metallica and Maroon 5 are also scheduled to play.
