K-os Plans A Coast-To-Coast U.S. Tour
Jan 4, 2007 -
Virgin Records Toronto-based, Trinidad-born, alternative breakthrough artist k-os will launch a comprehensive, coast-to-coast U.S. tour in early 2007. Running from mid-February all the way into early April, the tour will find k-os sharing the stage with Gym Class Heroes, RX Bandits, and P.O.S (tour dates follow below). The tour supports the U.S. release of his bracingly eclectic album "ATLANTIS - Hymns for Disco" on February 20, 2007, and the multi-format lead-off single "Sunday Morning," k-os' unpredictable, uplifting and irresistibly melodic ode to downtime, recharging and togetherness.
Addressing the unbounded musical and spiritual breadth of the album, k-os said: "When an artist expresses their truth honestly and with a pure heart, they can end up speaking for a myriad of people. From a very specific experience can come a general understanding and healing." On the album, Sam Roberts and Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene) make an appearance on the lush "Valhalla," while indie-rappers Buck 65 and Kamau help close the album with the stirring "Ballad of Noah."
