In Victorian-era England, two talented magicians battle it out. There is the flashy showman Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and the less audience-friendly Alfred Borden (Christian Bale). The death of Angier's wife sparks a lifelong feud between the two men that involves, of course, love, murder and lots of magic!
This DVD looks awesome. The art direction was nominated for an Oscar and rightly-so. The filmmakers have brought the era to life with great detail and the awesome magic "machines" in the pic come off looking great here. Sound is also crisp and clean.. dialogue and music easily heard.
