The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has heaped praise on his wife for helping him give up alcohol.

The rocker - who married school teacher Tana Munblowsky in 2005 - credits his spouse for helping him succumb to the booze-fuelled rock lifestyle.

He says, "Do I miss alcohol? Oh, absolutely!"

"My wife doesn't. She's glad I'm no longer drinking, and I can't blame her because I did it to excess. Maybe I was trying to behave like I thought a rock 'n' roll singer should behave."
