50 Cent has slammed the bosses of cable music show 106 + Park for failing to let him know rap rival Kanye West would be joined by hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z during a TV face-off on Tuesday.

Jay-Z thrilled the studio audience when he joined West for a performance of new song Big Brother - and no one was more surprised than 50, who was also a guest on the show.

West and 50 Cent were invited to appear on the Bet show to talk about their new albums, which were released earlier in the day and the In Da Club hitmaker claims his rap rival was given an unfair advantage.

50 says he felt "upstaged" by West's TV collaboration with Jay-Z, stating he could have countered the duet if he been informed about it ahead of time.

Angry 50 says, "Every time I do a show, the plans change. Now, either I'm going to know exactly what I'm doing on the show or I'm not going to go."

"If I knew I could've brought a special guest, I would've brought Eminem."
