Well dressed men

You are four high school seniors who start a band, make a CD in the basement, get it on i-tunes and your MySpace page and boom! Word spreads that you are the hottest thing since the Fab Four! Seem unlikely? Well, The Beatles had a huge publicity machine behind them but frontman C.J. Baran, background vocals, guitar and keyboards artist Steve Scarola, drummer Derek Ries and bass player Nick DeTurris started small in their Long Island neighborhoods and are using a grass roots campaign to spread the word about their self-produced album "Deserted" and it's working bigtime. CAA is representing them and their fans are contacting talk shows by the hundreds to get their boys more exposure.

Push Play booked a gig with Ryan Cabrera which led to their performance at the big Nokia Theater in NYC! The guys (who all keep high grade point averages while promoting their band) visit various high schools and donate proceeds of their "Purpose" campaign to charity. The guys nix comparisons to The Jonas Brothers. They aren't related, their sound is way more rock n' roll than pop and their look is polished suits, skinny pants and skinny ties. We wanted to know how four buddies from Long Island, NY can get so far so fast so we tracked down six-foot-tall C.J. at home and got the scoop....
