Rocker Pete Wentz fears he's become a target for Los Angeles traffic cops because he drives around the city in an Suv with blacked-out windows.

The Fall Out Boy and his assistant were pulled over on Wednesday and during the traffic stop, Wentz learned his license had expired.

He says, "I think I get profiled... because I drive a car that has black windows on it and it must look like I'm just doing bad things."

Because the star wasn't driving, police let the rocker and his pal off with a warning - but the whole incident was caught by the paparazzi, making it seem worse than it actually was.

Wentz explains, "My assistant got pulled over and they decided to make us roll down all the windows and we asked if we could drive to the studio and go behind a gated area because there's no law to stop the paparazzi from taking pictures as close as they want."
