Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger is determined to make her relationship with racing driver Lewis Hamilton work - and even wants to take him on tour with the band.

The singer has been dating the British Formula One star since they met at the MTV Awards last year.

And Scherzinger, 30, admits she is working hard to protect her romance with the 23-year-old.

She says, "We just see each other as normal. We're private and keep to ourselves. We're just two normal people who are passionate about what we do and we're both living our dream, so we are very blessed."

"The attention we get isn't important to me. As long as my boyfriend and I are happy, that's all I care about, and we're truly happy."

"It's hard to have a relationship in this industry, so we're taking things one step at a time and living moment to moment. As long as the other girls are ok about it, I hope he'll come on the road with us when we tour."

Bandmate Melody Thornton adds: "There's always room for him on the tourbus. He's very sweet and a good person."

And Scherzinger is even dreaming about having a baby with Hamilton: "In five years I could see myself having a family."
