Pink has topped the U.K charts for the first time in six years after a fierce battle with rockers Oasis.

The singer took the number one spot with So What, after climbing 38 places.

Oasis - tipped to be this week's number one - took third spot after failing to beat the Kings of Leon.

Sugababes took fourth place with Girls and Boyzone made their chart comeback at number five with I Love You Anyway.

Meanwhile, in the album charts the Kings of Leon reigned with Only By The Night, pushing Will Young into two.

James Morrison was a new entry at number three with Songs For You Truths For Me.

Andrew Johnston took fourth spot with One Voice, while Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad took fifth.
