British band Sugababes have turned down the chance to work with super producer Timbaland - because they are too busy.

The pop trio were offered the opportunity to work on a track with the star, but were forced to turn him down.

Amelle Berrabah tells Digital Spy, "He approached us while we were making our last album, but we'd literally just finished it and we had no time left.

"I know he wanted to work with us on this album too, but again we had so little time so it just didn't work out because of timings and diaries. Maybe next year we'll make it happen. I'd absolutely love to work with him."

Meanwhile, Berrabah has ruled out ever collaborating with Welsh star Tom Jones, branding him "a rude old man."

The band was hoping to meet the star at the recent Q Awards in London, but were disappointed after he snubbed them.
