Kiss rocker Gene Simmons is relaunching his music label Simmons Records.

The star has teamed up with Universal Music Canada for the venture, and aims to sign three new Canadian acts each year.

Simmons plans to play a hands-on role in the project, and assist the new acts with their recordings and merchandising.

The label is a reincarnation of a previous venture that worked alongside Sanctuary Music Group to release Simmons' solo material.
