The Killers Beat Guns N' Roses

The Killers have stunned British chart watchers by stealing the top album honour from Guns N' Roses.
The Las Vegas-based rock act have stormed to the top of the U.K. album charts with their new release Day + Age, beating Guns N' Roses' long-awaited comeback Lp Chinese Democracy to number one.
Meanwhile, Take That have ended Beyonce's reign at the top of the British singles chart - Greatest Day takes over from the R+B queen's If I Were A Boy, which slips to number two.
Take That go head-to-head with Britney Spears for the most contested number one on the year's album chart this week, with their similarly titled Lps, The Circus and Circus, respectively.
