Stars Unite for Terror Telethon

More details emerged Wednesday of what could turn out to be the biggest show in the history of American television.
The country's four major networks - CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox - confirmed that they would be broadcasting a joint fundraising tribute on Friday to the victims of last week's terror attacks.
The two-hour, commercial-free telethon will be called "America: A Tribute to Heroes" and will also be offered free to all other broadcast channels. According to reports, MTV, WB, and Spanish cable channel Telemundo are due carry the spectacular event, ensuring that the audience will be one of the largest, if not the largest in U.S. television history.
The program will be produced live from studios in Los Angeles and New York and the intial roster of stars looks like a who's who of the music, film and television industries.
With more names yet to be added, the list already includes Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Sheryl Crowe, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, The Dixie Chicks, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Calista Flockhart, Dennis Franz, Tom Hanks, Kelsey Grammer, Faith Hill, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Julia Roberts, Paul Simon, Will Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Sela Ward, Robin Williams, Stevie Wonder, and Neil Young.
